Daniel José Gallego Morales

Daniel José Gallego Morales holds a Ph.D. in Economics and is a professor in the Department of Applied Economics I at Rey Juan Carlos University.

His teaching has focused on courses in economic theory, macroeconomics, the Spanish and global economies, the history of economic thought, and the analysis of market processes, at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. He has taught at the Instituto de Estudios Bursátiles and has given lectures at various international universities (UDD; ESEADE, ULIMA, UPC, UNMSM).

His academic and research profile is primarily rooted in the Austrian School of Economics, with a special focus on capital theory, monetary theory, interest rates, and economic cycles. His research has focused on the historical evolution of interest rate theory, the role of savings and time preference in the productive structure, as well as the institutional and economic implications of public intervention in markets.

He is Editor-in-Chief of the journal Procesos de Mercado and participates in editorial and academic projects. He is a member of the Academic Council of the Jesús Huerta de Soto Ballester Foundation.
